#10160 Banisteriopsis caapi, soul vine/ayahuasca, Malpighiaceae - This striking tropical vine has a long history of use and importance in various ceremonies led by tribal shamans and ayahuasqueros; liana with opposite leaves, pink but usually yellow flowers bloom in clusters; grow in rich soil in part shade; in the Amazon region it is used as a cure all for many kinds of medical problems including as a laxative and emetic.

#10170 Belamcanda chinensis, she gan, blackberry lily, Iridaceae - Beautiful perennial with branched stems that reach a height of 2-4', blooms are tiger spotted and star-shaped in a deep orange-red followed by shiny black seeds; grow in well-drained, sandy humus-rich soil in full sun, rhizomes are said to soothe throat coughs with chest distress, as a poultice for twisted ankles and some types of skin ailments .

Hardy to Zone 6 with protection. Rhizomes are said to restrain leakage of blood, stops bleeding, especially useful for non-healing ulcers. Bletilla striata varigata is also available for $17.00
